about
I am Amanda Fidler, a graphic designer in Houma, Louisiana. To say I have a passion for design is putting it lightly. The design associated with your business is its first impression, and every detail counts.
I graduated from Nicholls State University in 2006. After I graduated, I worked in design and production at a print shop in Harahan, Louisiana for two years before transferring back to Houma to design at PoV Magazine. There, I designed layouts for the magazine as well as advertisements for an array of local businesses–from machine shops to hair salons. From these two jobs, I gained experience in designing for almost every kind of client you could imagine, and I also learned a lot about the production side of the business.
I’ve always loved fashion, so working at my current job–where I not only get to work with clothing and accessories all day, but also design for it–combines two of my great loves. Now I work as the creative director at Material Girl clothing boutique in Houma, Louisiana. I design all logos, advertisements, email graphics, flyers, posters, signs, etc. for the company, and I am also in charge of all social media (facebook, twitter, email marketing, etc.) for the brand. When we decided to expand the business, I recently solely created our new online store: ILoveMaterialGirl.com.
This site is a collection of my designs. Although most of my work you’ll see here is from my primary job at the boutique, I also work with other businesses to create logos, advertisements, websites and more, as well as individuals for party invitations or graphic prints for their home.
